I met Dr Javeria Shah through a workshop on anti-racism she had conducted for my university. As an academic who has done extensive work around racial justice, I can attest that this is easily the best workshop on racial justice that I have ever attended. It was rigorous yet accessible, and the follow-up sessions she provided were also well-supported.
Dr. Javeria recently facilitated a work shop at my school and went on to speak about post-colonial theory and the concept of the (monstrous) ‘other’ in higher education and other landscapes.
Javeria’s work has been transformative for education sectors and cultural industries
I met Dr Javeria through at one of her anti racist training she was delivering at my university. There was a very uncomfortable situation that occurred occurred this training regarding an offensive comment made by one of the members of staff at the training. I was so impressed by Javeria’s way of handling the situation in such a classy but assertive way. She’s such an amazing person and very much an activist for the cause.
